8 Easy Project Ideas for Painted Jewelry Boxes

Looking for an easy D.I.Y. Gift Idea? Jewelry boxes are my favorite thrifted items to personalize, and you only need a tiny bit of product to make it happen!

I've listed 8 easy projects for inspiration, plus all the products I used.

I painted this ombre jewelry box in pretty pastels, then added floral transfers for a delicate touch.

Dixie Belle Products used:

  • Kudzu

  • Soft Pink

  • Lemonade

  • Then I added Dixie Belle’s “Translucent Gardens” Transfer.

This easy 2-color blend makes a beautiful greenish-gray background to add transfers.

Dixie Belle Products used:

  • Terra Clay Paint in Onyx & Wheat

  • Vintage Post Transfer

Dixie Belle made small transfers for little projects, and this one’s my favorite! It’s the perfect size for jewelry boxes or other small crafts.

Dixie Belle Products used:

  • Chalk Mineral Paint in Cottage Door

  • Hydrangea & Lilies Transfer

  • Gold Gilding Wax on hardware

This painted jewelry box was a gift for a friend who loves Southwestern decor.

Dixie Belle Products used:

  • Chalk Mineral Paint in Chocolate blended with Caviar as a base color.

  • Western Boho Silkscreen Stencil with Chalk Mineral Paint colors Daisy, Pure Ocean, Terra Cotta and Rustic Red

All it takes is a tiny bit of products to personalize your look. (I used 3 products for this entire project.)

Dixie Belle Products used:

  • Chalk Mineral Paint in Cucumber Ice

  • Birds, Blossoms & Branches Transfer

  • Gold Gilding Wax

A jewelry box is the perfect blank canvas to try new techniques or products. I created a late summer bouquet over a 2-color blend for an earthy vibe.

Dixie Belle products used:

  • Chalk Mineral Paint in Drop Cloth blended with French Linen

  • Pink Pampas & Dried Wilds Transfer

Why keep your precious jewels in a boring box? I created a cloudy blue background using 2 colors of chalk mineral paint, then added these gorgeous Chinoiserie Transfers.

Dixie Belle Products used:

  • Chinoiserie Transfer

  • Chalk Mineral Paint in Dusty Blue & Cucumber Ice

I created a deep smoky ombre background for this eclectic floral design. Transfers come in so many designs, it's easy to find one to match your color palette!

Dixie Belle products used:

  • Chalk Mineral Paint in French Linen, Drop Cloth, In the Navy & Savannah Mist.

  • Bohemian Wedding Transfer

I hope enjoyed this tutorial & you're inspired to try something new. I'd love to see your finished projects if you do!
